“Adolescent Reproductive Health

Orientation during PTA meeting”
August 17, 2019

Parents serve as role models for their children by being sensitive and responsive to each one
and by showing interest in each child and his/her experiences. They need to be more
knowledgeable about, more comfortable with, and more effective at connecting with
children, particularly during adolescence, about matters of reproductive and sexual health.

In consonance with the implementation of the program and activities of OK sa DepEd,

Naggasican Elementary School conducted an orientation about Adolescent Reproductive
Health during the PTA meeting.

Ma’am Lolita V. Lorenzo

reminded the parents and
discussed about their big role as
a parent regarding adolescent
reproductive health.
She also said that these days,
unwanted pregnancy and early
parenthood are viral because of
the curiosity of the teens about
exploring sexual matters. To
prevent these, she reminded that
parents should always monitor
their children regarding
reproductive and sexual health.
Talking encourages family
togetherness and increases the
likelihood teens will share
parent’s values.
