Checklist for a Polish national visa - students –

Before submitting your application at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Mumbai, please
prepare the following documentation:

 Valid passport (issued within the last 10 years and with at least 3 months validity after the scheduled
return; passports with observations regarding the front data page cannot be accepted), with at least
two empty pages;
 Application form duly signed, with 3 passport photographs according to biometric specifications, not
older than 6 months;
 Covering letter from applicant explaining the exact purpose and duration of stay;
 Admission letter from Polish university (to verify which university is certified by the Ministry of Higher
Education to legally operate in the Republic of Poland and provides courses in English, please check
the register on the website:

 Proof of payment of study fees;
 One way flight reservation;
 Travel medical insurance for the first year of studies (kindly refer to
https://mumbai.mfa.gov.pl/resource/f9ee80e4-59a9-4340-aeb0-40679008d284:JCR);
 Proof of other academic qualifications (diploma, academic degree certificate or marksheets duly
attested by means of the Apostille certification);
 Proof of financial means to cover the costs of the stay in Poland during the studies: Personal bank
statement of the applicant or of the sponsor for the past three months with sufficient funds; Income
Tax Return (ITR) form or Form 17 (Certificate of Income Tax deducted at the source of salary);
 1 copy of the passport’s data page (A4 size copy);

Notice: English Language test such as:

o TOEFL {Test of English as a Foreign Language} (minimum score of 550 points for the paper
Based Test or 213 points for the Computer Based Test)
o IELTS {International English Language Testing System} (Band 6.0)
o CAE (Cambridge English: Advanced)
are highly recommended as a proof of possessing the necessary language skills for undertaking studies
conducted in English.

All documents should to be submitted in the given order and in original. Should you wish to keep any original,
kindly provide a copy (A4 size). Please note that the Consulate of Poland reserves the right to ask for additional
documents or personal appearance for an interview in special cases. Submission of the above-mentioned
documents does not guarantee that a visa is granted. Submission of incomplete documentation or refusal to
appear for a special visa interview may result in the rejection of your application.

Do note that we do not give individual slots for the visa applicants. New slots are being systematically open for
all the applicants on the “first-come-first-served” basis at http://www.e-konsulat.gov.pl/, every Monday at 10
am. Please check regularly on our website.

Applications shall be submitted to the Consulate not earlier than three months before the intended travel
date.
