Requirement
This procedure assumes that a custom iSetup loader has been registered in Oracle
iSetup. (R) iSetup > (M) Administration > Interface Repository1
1
Please contact the author for further details (see last page)
(R) iSetup > (M) Migration > Selection Sets > (B) Create Custom
2. Give a selection set name and add the custom Data Object
Search for the Selection Set again and click the update pen icon
Specify the criteria; in this case we like to extract all forms personalization’s
belonging to forms starting with FND:
Still in this form, you can choose the [Apply and Extract] button to start the extract
right here.
EBS opens the extract form. Give a name and a description, and click continue:
5. Requery the form and you should see a request like this:
Wait until it is finished; then the status goes to Completed, and a downloadable file
shall appear to the right.
You can open it, it shall contain your personalization data and some more files related
to iSetup packages. Your data is in the last file (XXFND…).
After completion click the name, keep Tabular and drill further down to the details.
But already here you see quite good which personalizations you have in your package.
Is case of Excel you will get a zip as output, containing the following objects:
When extracted, you can open the index.html and will receive the following:
The target environment setup requires a *.dbc file, your DBA can help here. In case
you transfer the file manually, you need to do the following:
Click [Upload].
This will upload your file, validate the content and will create a readable object for
iSetup, which we are now going to load into the target environment itself.
Enter the name, and choose your data as data source from previous step.
This raises also a concurrent program, in fact at least 2 (the second is hidden to this
screen).
In it you see also the other request id, in my case it is the 11410799, which is the
underlying load process id.
