Land Rig: Operating areas with easy access to a National Oilwell Varco store or customer’s own
regional warehouse.
Offshore Rig: Operating areas in remote locations.
Class A: Maintenance parts – wear and tear parts requiring periodic service or replacement.
Class B: Repair parts – parts which normally have an extended, but not indefinite life.
Class C: Over-haul parts – parts normally required only for major overhauls.
Class D: Complete Component Replacement – when repair or over-haul is not cost effective.
1.4 Recommendations
For an Offshore Rig using one (1) shaker, the recommended spare parts for year one (1) to minimize
downtime would be as follows (see Table 1-1).

A general equipment name tag provides important information about the shaker. The tag is made of 18-
gauge stainless steel and is affixed to the equipment skid. Refer to the serial number to ensure that the
correct spare parts are supplied.

The figure is a representation of the shaker, although some items may differ between configurations.

2.3 Motor/Starter
When replacing a motor, locate the motor part number on the motor tag and use that part number to
order.
When replacing starter internals, locate the starter part number on the starter tag and use that part
number to reference internals needed for ordering.
For shaker assemblies that are suitable for cold storage, replace components that show signs of material
degradation, including but not limited to motor internals and wear items.
