Statement of Purpose

About myself
I am Rahul Phutela , having positive attitude towards life, extrovert, loves talking to others, who
seeks your permission to study “SUPPY CHAIN MANAGEMENT” program in CDI College. Ever
since I was young, I have been constantly attracted towards the Economical domain. My parents
belong to business background and I want to go further with economic field as I think I will have
a bright future in this field.

Academic background

I have completed my matriculation in 2017 with 9.6 CGPA followed by senior secondary
education in arts with 84% marks overall and having 95% in Economics, 87% in mathematics, 73%
in English from Government model senior secondary School one of the prestigious school of
India. I decided to plan my future in Economical field. I gave IELTS test and scored 7.0 overall
bands 8.0 bands in listening. 7.5 bands in reading, 6.5 bands in speaking and 5.5 in writing module
individually fulfilling CDI College admission requirement for IELTS for an International student.

Why SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT program?

The course I have opted for Why this program from Canadian Institute?

Canada is No.1 country among the top seven industrialized nations with regards to budget
allocation to education standards are perfectly maintained in Canada. All Colleges of Canada are
maintained by Association of Universities of Colleges, just to maintain the high standard of
education.

According to me the main advantage of studying in Canada is in terms of exposure giving me

access to unlimited culture and communities coming from different countries which will be
helpful for me in developing my professional side and also give me an in-depth understanding an
exposure to the hospitality industry. And having an international qualification can also help me
gain an added advantage and recognition on international grounds of competition. And after
thorough study I realized that the diploma in hospitality program offered by Cambrian College is
the best suited for my professional ambition and interests.

I am hence looking forward for gaining management skills and see myself working for the top
hotel chain at management post; I am convinced that to realize my dreams better this
qualification from Canada can help me a long way. I believe that this esteemed College can help
me evolve into a better professional and accomplish my dreams.
Learning outcomes
In this program I will be trained in customer service, hotel services, and menu planning and
design. Will also be provided with an introduction to managerial concepts including accounting,
marketing law and human resource management. Main focus will be on the practical aspects of
hospitality service. Also, a mandatory field placement is available to Hospitality – Hotel and
Restaurant students in the last eight weeks of the program’s fourth semester.

Future prospects
After completing my education from Cambrian college, I may seek employment within:

 Hotel and front desk

 Food and beverage operations
 Resort hosting
 Banquet planning
 Corporate event management

Hotel management has very wide employment opportunities all around the world. Moreover,
with globalization gaining acceptance from more and more countries, the hotel management
sector is truly also becoming global. As hotel chain owners are opening their new hotels in almost
all the cities. The requirement for trained hotel management professionals is at its peak. Radisson
hotels, Taj Group of hotels, Park Group of hotels, ITC group of Hotels are some of the known
hotels in this industry that are famous for unique amenities and superb accommodation
arrangements.After completing my education, I would like to see myself as a Hotel manager of
one of these reputed hotels.

Extra Curricular Activities

Along with my studies, I have actively participated in different activities like:

 I have participated in 7th Davinderpal memorial Basketball Championship in 2015.

 I also participated in Inter school sports &Game competition in 2014-2015 in Basketball
and secured second position.
 I also got silver position in 3rd INDO-NEPAL Youth Rural Games in basketball event.
 I also got first position in National youth Rural Games 2016 in Basketball event.
