EXAMPLE 1
PDF stands for Portable Document Format. PDF is the standard for electronic
document distribution worldwide so that documents can be viewed on any
computer regardless of the application used to create them. Regardless of
whether it is an MS-Word document or a document made in a DTP programme,
once the documents have been converted to PDF they can be viewed on any
computer. An added advantage is the fact that PDF files are generally smaller in
size than the original documents. This makes PDF documents the ideal standard
for distribution over the Internet. Hence our decision to organise a trial period of
six months during which only the final version of the documents will be
converted to PDF-format.

B. Incorrect
C. Cannot be judged

The analytical test
The analytical test is a computer based, multiple choice test. It assesses whether
you can quickly read and interpret business data. The analytical test differs from
the GMAT/GRE in that it focuses on analytical skills only, not on verbal reasoning
or other types of skills. Moreover, the mathematical part of the GMAT/GRE
primarily involves pure calculations, which is not the case in our analytical test.
It is included in the admissions test because of the importance of this type of
reasoning for successful participation in our degree programmes (many courses
require this type of analytical insight). It will take you 20 minutes. You do not
need to prepare for this test.
