Narrative Report on Brigada Eskwela 2019

I. Introduction :
Pursuant to the DepEd Memorandum No. 36 series of 2019. The
department of Education (Deped) will conduct the 2019 Brigada Eskwela with the
theme: Matatag na Bayan para sa Maunlad na Paaralan from May 20- 25, 2019. The
Brigada Eskwela is the National School’s Maintenance Week that aims to to bring
together all education stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort and
resources to prepare public school facilities ready for the opening of the school year
in June.

II. Summary/Activities:
Early morning of May 20, the teachers of Southville Elementary School held a
parade that signalled the start of Brigada Eskwela. After the parade a short program
followed. The presence of different groups of volunteers were acknowledged. Short
orientation about the mechanics of the 6-day activity was given by Dr. Arcely M.
Lucero. Finally, the opening of the Brigada Eskwela was announced. The willing,
ready and able brigades included eager teachers, enthusiastic parents, excited
students and other concern people of the community.
Everyday, there were accomplishments and that was a great relief for all the
school personnel to see the school getting ready for June 3.
The success of Brigada Eskwela is a proof of the commitment of our
stakeholders to continuously improve the learning environment of our school. There
is a considerably increase support from the barangay officials, parents and
stakeholders. Even pupils manifest a new vision as they come to school early and
attend to their classes with vigor and eagerness as of this school opening. The
school teaching staff views this as a fresh start to work double time at improving the
key performance indicators of the school.
