Lab#4

Given values:

Source = 10V

Resistor, R1 = 2

Resistor, R2 = 4

Resistor, R3 = 12

To Find:

I have to find current in parallel circuit by using KVL and verify my numerical values using Multisim.

Answer:

Solving circuit problem by hand. I get following values

Current in circuit loop#1, I1= 2A

Current in circuit loop#2, I2= 0.5A

Current passing through R1= 2A

Current passing through R2=1.5A

Current passing through R3=0.5A

Note:

I verify my values in EWB and my values matched with EWB values.

Lab Task:
I perform following jobs.

Job#1

I change the values of source and resistors of

circuit.

Source, V = 30V

Resistor, R1 = 5

Resistor, R2 = 5

Resistor, R3 = 5

By solving circuit with the help of EWB I get

following values of current in circuit.

Current in circuit loop#1, I1= 4A

Current in circuit loop#2, I2= 2A

Job# 1
Current passing through R1= 4A

Current passing through R2=2A

Current passing through R3=2A

Job#2 (Observation)

I observe that by putting same value of resistor current is same in parallel and series.

Job#3

When I put R1=R2=R3=9 yes, I get

same values of current in parallel
branch.
