Lab#3

Given values:

Source = 15V

Resistor, R1 = 5

Resistor, R2 = 1

Resistor, R3 = 2

To Find:

I have to find current in series circuit by using KVL and verify my numerical values using EWB.

Answer:

Solving circuit problem by hand. I get following values

Current in circuit, I = 1.875A

Current passing through R1= 1.875A

Current passing through R2=1.875A

Current passing through R3=1.875A

Note:

I verify my values in EWB and my values matched with EWB values.

Lab Task:
I perform following jobs.

Job#1

I change the values of source and resistors of circuit.

Source, V = 20V

Resistor, R1 = 3

Resistor, R2 = 3

Resistor, R3 = 3

By solving circuit with the help of EWB I get

following values of voltage drop in series circuit.

Voltage drop at R1 = 2.222V

Voltage drop at R2 = 2.222V

Voltage drop at R3 = 2.222V

Job# 1
Job#2 (Observation)

I observe that by using same value of resistor voltage drop at each resistor is same because they are in
series.

Job#3

When I give different value to resistors that is R1=R2=R3=4.

Yes, I get same value of current but different from R1=R2=R3=3 so by changing values of resistor, the
value of current also changes.
