Lab#13

Given values:

Source, V1=100 V

Resistor, R1 = 10 Resistor, R2 = 15

Resistor, R3 = 10 Resistor, R4 = 40

To Find:

I have to find voltage drop and current flow in 40 ohm resistor by using Norton Theorem and verify my
numerical values using EWB.

Answer:

Solving circuit problem by hand, I get following values.

Rth = 20 ohm

Isc = 2.5 A

IL = 0.833 A

Voltage drop at 40 ohm resistor, VL = 33.32 V

Note:

I verify my values in EWB and my values matched with EWB values.

Lab Task:.
Job#1

I change the values of source and resistors.

Source, V1=12V

Resistor, R1 = 5 Resistor, R2 = 3

Resistor, R3 = 2 Resistor, R4 = 4

By solving I get

Rth = 4.42 ohm

Isc = 0.774 A

IL = 0.406 A

Voltage drop at 40 ohm resistor, VL = 1.62 V
