contents of the Standard Nomenclature Lists which form The Ordnance Catalog.

supplies. Numbers have been assigned to all lists regardless of their status, oil
compilation and publication. Where published, the date of the latest edition is
given, and .the current changes published also are indicated. The basic numbers
assigned will not be changed. Successive revisions of a list will bear the same
number.

1. Ordnance Storage and Shipment Charts. These charts list information on nomenclature, piece marks ofdrawing
numbers, weight per unit, method of packing, and container, dimensions when shipped knocked down in crates, boxes, or
containers; dimensions when shipped, assembled, or partly assembled; method of loading and quantity carried in PA- and
2%-ton cargo trucks, and in 30-ton railroad cars; freight classification and ratings for CL and LCL shipments in the
Official, Southern, and Western territories; number of containers that can be piled approximately 10 feet high and the
pressure load; complete instructions for crating the major items when such crating is complex; and photographs showing
physical characteristics.
2. Ordnance Storage and Shipment Charts are arranged and divided into groups similar to and paralleling those of
the Standard Nomenclature Lists. A separate and complete Ordnance Storage and Shipment Chart is published for each
of the groups or subdivisions of groups of equipment and supplies assigned to the Ordnance Department for procurement,
