Light Bearer Church’s Christmas Party

According to George F. McDougall, Christmas is a spirit of love, a time when the love of God and the
love of our fellow men should prevail over all hatred and bitterness, a time when our thoughts and
deeds and the spirit of our lives manifest the presence of God.

To the pillars of this ministry Pastor Edgar Burgonios and Pastors Helen Burgonios, our guest speaker,
visitors, brothers and sisters in Christ, Light Bearer Church family… good morning!

Welcome to our annual Christmas celebration and of course, our church day to glorify God’s greatness!

Our call to worship today is from Psalm 34:8

O taste and see that the Lord is good;
happy are those who take refuge in him.
Let's pray together:
We come to church hungry, Lord!
We are hungry for comfort,
hungry for love,
hungry for a new way of living,
hungry for your word.
Thank you for giving us this place
and this time to worship,
and we are eager to taste your goodness
in community, with our brothers and sisters.
Bless us as we feast on the Bread of Life today.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

(Call to Worship)

Praying at the beginning of a meeting is a great way of reminding ourselves that God is with us, that
He is at the centre of everything we do, and that the reason we are alive is to love and worship Him.
The Opening Prayer by Pastor Edgar Burgonios.

(Opening Prayer)

God alone is worthy of our devotion, praise and worship. He is God, our Creator, and we are
commanded to praise and worship Him. "Give unto the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord
in the beauty of holiness." Let us immerse ourselves in the Christ as we sing praises and worship tp be
lead by Mrs. Eden Walters and the Worship Team.

(Praise and Worship)

With the goal of pursuing God’s plans for our lives, the Bible offers much wisdom. When it comes to
our pursuit of knowledge, God's Word gives us the encouragement and inspiration we need to keep
going! As Romans 15:4 says, “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so
that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide, we might
have hope.” The Scripture Reading by Marivic Cacanog. Let us welcome her with a resounding
applause.

(Scripture Reading)

Revelation 1:3 tells us “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed
are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.” We will no
longer be hungry and thirsty for we will hear the word of God as our daily bread. Let us welcome
Pastora Helen Burgonios.

(Word)
Giving is an expression of our faith that affirms God as our provider and His ability to supply all that we
need. We trust God by giving in faith. Our Lord promises to give every obedient Christian an
overflowing, joyous life regardless of his financial position. Jesus told His followers, “I came that they
might have life, and might have it abundantly.” To lead the offertory, a round of applause as we welcome
Mrs. Flora L. Aurea!

(Offertory)

Indeed, giving is a part of our stewardship of the things that God has freely given to us and is a vital
part of our spiritual development and maturity. Whatever we offer, as long as heartily given, God will
be happy.

One of the highlights of today’s special event is the set of presentations from the different groups in
our ministry. Each group will showcase their talents in miming the famous Christmas symbol “Belen”
and in singing Christmas carols. The order will be Men’s group, women’s group, youth and kids.

(Presentations)

Those were spectacular performances! Congratulations!

Indeed, God is great that Light Bearer Church is blessed with many talented members. This time, we
will listen to the words of acknowledgement from Pastor Edgar Burgonios!

The two parts of our affair has nearing to an end. We still have more surprises and fun activities later
after our lunch. Before that, let us first give grace to the abundant blessings we have today for our
Savior has given and continues to provide us with an incredibly large blessing every day.
May we request __________________ to pray for the food.

(Lunch Time)

To God be the glory! May God be the center this Christmas season. May love prevail and faith be
strengthened. I am Mrs. Joveth T. Tampil. Thank you for gracing this event. May God bless us all. 😊
