INTRODUCTION

A budget and eco-friendly lampshade will be introduced to the

market. This lampshade officialised by Torreno Company is named as
“Tatak Pilipino Lampshade”. It is primarily made up of bamboo, one of the
raw materials in the Philippines.

Tatak Pilipino Lampshade will cater segments of people who really

desire to have aesthetic dimensions to their houses, to provide a remedy for
sleeping problems, and to truly patronize Filipino products. This product
will help a lot of people. Based on some study, many people are struggling
from sleeping problems. According to Tuck (2017), the mainly reason for
these insights is that a person is using certain light which is not appropriate
in the night. Light has a significant effect on sleeping when the place
transitions from darkness to light, the brains tend to wake whether a person
has had his regular sleep or not.

In relation to these, Tatak Pilipino Lampshade used LED light that

has low volume of blue light wavelength - causes a person to become
irritable in the night. Moreover, this product also cares about its aesthetic
standards aside from health aspects. From the concepts up to the finishing
and actual product, Tatak Pilipino Lampshade ensures its quality and
dignity. It desires to uphold and to make known Philippine raw materials
across the world as it uses bamboo as the main substance of the product.

believes that those people will appreciate the efforts of the company in
providing a budget and eco-friendly and Filipino made lampshade.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT and PRODUCT POSITIONING

Bamboo is the main component

of Tatak Pilipino Lampshade. Unlike
the other bamboo lampshades in the
market, it aims to preserve the original
and aesthetic appearance of the
bamboo. There are still some cutting
processes in the makings of this
lampshade yet, the parts did not turn
into smaller pieces and the cylindrical
shape of the bamboo is still visible in

Most of the lampshades introduced in the market are using bulbs

with bright lights. It is really a good strategy to attract and to persuade
more customers to buy their products; however, it neglects the importance
of health aspects of the people. Bulbs with dazzling lights have a great
volume of blue light that makes a person hard to sleep.

In the contrary, Tatak Pilipino Lampshade proudly uses LED light

that only emits low volume of blue light so that it will not interrupt the
sleep of a person in the night. LEDs are actually more expensive than the
other type of bulb, but they still save money because they last for a long
time and have a very low energy use.

In addition, Tatak Pilipino Lampshade made by Torreno Company

bravely competes with the other lampshade companies. It desires to
uphold the Filipino product and pride in the market not just in the four
corners of the country, but also across the world.
