Voted to support Fall Paddle the Border, by paying up to $75 for an ad in Bridge Weekly; Nancy will contact
Mike Thomas
Voted to request same budget as for 2010 - $1,800 – from Selectboard for 2011.
Voted to request $5,000 allocation on Town Warning for Bradford Conservation Fund.
Barbara will submit request for $500 for 2011 Green-Up Budget.
Compost Award
It was agreed that Nancy will present it to Bob Sandberg at LEAF. Thanks to Barbara for acquiring a
lovely
“Golden Fork”
Energy:
• LEAF
o Has had lots of publicity
o Large turn-out expected for Candidate’s Forum
o BCC booth will be set up at 3:30 on Friday on P. Lavelle’s lawn
• Improvements to B.A. – Ed, Andy Clark, Gayle Weigel and her 2 children worked on insulating
windows last week-end; volunteers being sought to continue this work; receipts for paint and spray
foam will be submitted to Selectboard for reimbursement
Stewardship:
• Trail work is progressing well
• More trail work dates are:
o 9/16/10, 4 – 7 pm, several people have signed up
o 9/28 10th grade bio students will GPS and blaze “Cindy’s Trail”; possibly Amber Boland of
UVLT will be there to teach them about mapping and GPS units
o bench is nearly complete
o Sunday, October 3, 1 – 5; will try to get football players again; possibly carry bench in
Land Conservation:
• Bradford Municipal Forest – appraisal completed; will soon make an offer re purchase of the land.
• Burgess Property – anticipated closing on 9/23
• Thomas Property –getting deed corrected in preparation for closing
• Cook farm – moving forward trying to get appraisal
• Clean and Clear grants available to land-owners identified along the Waits River on Kenyon Rd; Ben
Machin of Redstart & Nancy will follow-up
