The main industrial items of the United States of America are manufacturing steel, car
industry, electronics, machinery, clothing. Nearly half of the country is farmland, however only
21 per cent is arable. The main agriculture products are corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, tobacco,
cattle breeding, fruit and vegetables.
The majority of population works now in service professions (business, schools, hospitals).
25 per cent of jobs are in manufacturing and construction and only 4 per cent of jobs are in
agriculture, fishing and mining.
The USA is rich in the following mineral resources: coal, copper, lead, uranium, gold, iron,
mercury, oil.
Valid currency is the American dollar wich has 100 cents.
The main trading partners are Canada, Japan, Mexico and Great Britan.

otel, industria masinilor, electronice, masinarii, imbracaminte. Aproape jumatate din tara este
teren agricol, insa doar 21 de procente este arabil. Principalele produse agricole sunt porumb,
boabe de soia, grau, bumbac, tutun, fructi si legume.
Majoritatea populatiei lucreaza acum in profesii (afaceri, scoli, spitale). 25 de procente din
joburi sunt in producer si constructii si doar 4 procente din joburi sunt in agricultura, pescut si
minerit.
SUA este bogata in urmatoarele resurse minerale: carbune, cupru, plumb, uraniu, aur, fier,
mercur, ulei.
Moneda valida este dolarul American care are 100 de centi.
Principalii parteneri comerciali sunt Canada, Japonia, Mexic si Marea Britanie.

III. The Statue of Liberty is a monument in “Libery Island” port from New York city. It was placed
in 1886 at the entrance of the port with the meaning of greeting the travelers arrived on
American soil. The statue is a gift from France for the United States of America for celebrating
110 years from wining the independence.
The White House is the official residence and main office of the president of United States of
America. The main building was built in Georgian style, between the years 1792-1800, from
floor tiles painted in white.
