Statement of the Problem

The purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of social media on

academic performance of students in public elementary schools Division of Biñan City.

Specifically, it tries to answer the following questions:

1. What is the level of exposure of the grade six pupils on social media in terms of it

characteristics such as:

1.1. Interactive;

1.2. User-based;

1.3. Community Driven;

1.4. Emotional Content?

2. What is the level of the academic performance of the grade six pupils in the first and

second quarter in terms of:

2.1. English;

2.2. Math;

2.3. Science;

2.4. Filipino?

3. Is there any effect of the level of exposure of social media on the academic

performance of the pupils in the first and second quarter?
