NEMCO HS Batch 2005 Reunion

September 11, 2019

Good morning, ladies & gentlemen, and of course to our dear teachers. We’ve
come a long way since 2005. Our faces, figures, addresses, and family names have
changed in the last 14 years, but we’ll always remember the wonderful times we
shared in high school. Memories are one of life’s most cherished possessions. And
so today is about renewing old friendships – laughing and sharing stories of our
years at NEMCO.
To begin with, everybody is requested to rise for the invocation, and please
remain standing for the singing of the National Anthem with Ms. Ruby Ann
Polvorosa, conducting.
+ Gracious Father in Heaven,
We pause at this moment to remember you are the source of our lives and
blessings. We praise you each day of life and the beauty of our High school
reunion, celebrated here today.
Bring to our 14th year celebration joyful thoughts and laughter over memories of
high school days, of achievements past, and challenges overcome.
We humbly remember those classmates who attended high school with us, who
have passed on ahead of us and are mindful of their contributions to our lives and
the world.
What gift can we bring this morning but our grateful thanksgivings for the daily
bread that sustains us and for the food and festivity we share here today. As we
rekindle the ties that bind us together, we thank you, O God, for your loving
kindness which is fresh each morning, and for your grace given in Jesus Christ. It is
in His name we pray and create our tomorrows. Amen +
Now to formally welcome us in this event, may we call on, one of the busiest person
in this activity, Mr. Jepprey Edillor for his welcome address.
Thank you so much J, for that warm welcome.
To set the mood, let us be entertained first with the acoustic music from our band.
Thank you sir.
There can never be another profession without a teacher. A teacher’s purpose is
not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create
their own image. And as your former students, I believe, we have developed our
own images, in some way or another, and we all thank you for that, our dear
teachers. And so, may I request my batchmates to please be on stage as we present
to our dear teachers our Plaque of Appreciation.
At this time, let us hear the responses from our dear teachers. May we call on first,
Mrs. Enecita Lacsama-Lim. Palakpak please.
Salamat mam.
May we call on this time, ang teacher sa para sa ako pinakalisud na suvject, Mrs.
Virginia D. Estobo. Around of applause please.
At this time, let us listen to Mrs. Charina Mocon-Bagsic, our very own adviser sa
Section A. let us give her around of applause.
Thank you so much mga Ma’am for the wonderful words.

May we request again our band, your time again to shine. 😊

At this juncture, let us be inspired with the stories of some of our dear batchmates
who have developed their own images. Ladies and gentlemen, let us give around
of applause to _____ Neil Vincent Edera.
Wow, thank you so much Neil. You have indeed developed of own image.
Girl power nsab, may we call on Ms. Claire Meńoza, to share her own inspiring
story.
Bongga …
This event wouldn’t be possible without the people behind it. At this time, let us
welcome the 2019 Alumni President, Mr. Nikki T. Boniao for his words of gratitude.
The end of the 1st part of our event has come. May we call on Mr. Rexon E. malunas
for the Closing Remarks. Around of applause please.
May we call on, Mr. Romel O. Tampos for the prayer before meal.
CHANGE SEATS!
And you thought musical chairs could get rowdy. During Change Seats!, players sit in a
circle of chairs, while one player stands in the center of the circle. Whoever is “It” picks
someone in the circle and asks him or her, “Do you love your neighbor?” If the answer is
“No,” the people seated on either side must quickly change seats, before the person in the
center can steal one of their chairs. However, the person being questioned may also answer,
“Yes, I love my neighbor, except those who … [are wearing red, have blue eyes, etc.].” At
that point, everyone who falls into the category must stand up and try to change seats as
quickly as they can, while the person in the middle tries to steal one.
THE LAUGHING GAME
The rules of the Laughing Game are straightforward. One player begins by saying the word
“ha” with a straight face. The second player continues saying “ha ha,” follow ed by “ha ha
ha” and so forth in a circle. The object is to keeping going as long as possible without
cracking up. If a player breaks so much as a smile, he’s out of the game.
FORFEITS
A round of Forfeits is a fast way to loosen up your party guests. To start, everyone forfeits
an item of value (keys, phone, wallet, etc.). A player selected to be the “auctioneer” stands
at the front of the room and presents each item as if it were to sale. Players can get their
item back for a price—the auctioneer might tell them to sing a song, share a secret, or do
100 jumping jacks. In the smartphone era the stakes of this Victorian parlor game are even
higher.
