INCOMPLETE QUESTIONS

Sometimes, students will post questions that

are incomplete. Unfortunately, once a
question has been posted, there is nothing we
can do about it. We have to deal with it in its
current state.

● questions that are missing texts

● questions that are missing options
● questions that are missing graphs/images
● questions that are in any way missing crucial
information that prevents the answerer from
answering the question

How to deal with incomplete questions?

Search on Google
Search for the missing content online by pasting the fragment of the question on Google.

There is always a very high possibility to find the complete question content on Google.
In this case, please provide the complete question in the “Ask for details” section under the
question and/or the beginning of your answer on Brainly.

It is important you complete the question somewhere because otherwise our QA team might
rate the answer 0 (as incomplete) due to missing information and nobody wants that.

How to deal with incomplete questions?

Example 1
If you read the question, you will see that
the requirement is missing. By Googling
the question, the complete content could
be found here:

How to deal with incomplete questions?

Example 1 (Cont..)
If you have found the full information for
the question, as in the past slide, your next
step is to first complete the question on
Brainly, by either putting the missing parts
on the Ask for details section of the
question, or, by placing the missing portion
on the answer box. The important part is
that the question be COMPLETE before
you submit it. If this is not so, then the
question will be marked as incomplete,
and given a score of 0.

How to deal with incomplete questions?

Example 2

Again, this question is incomplete; however, it can be

found on search engines.

Please notice how the answerer started by stating the

complete question before moving on to the answer
and explanation.

How to deal with incomplete questions?

Example 2 (Cont..)
Again, this question is incomplete; however, it can be
found on search engines.

Please notice how the answerer started by stating the

complete question before moving on to the answer
and explanation.

This is an excellent way to deal with an incomplete question.

However, always remember to add the answer options either in
the Ask for details section, or, in the answer itself, inside the
answer box. In this case, the answerer only forgot to mention
the other answering options offered in the question. ALWAYS
remember to add that information, so your question is scored
high.

How to deal with incomplete questions?

What if we can’t find the question online?

In case it’s impossible to find the complete version of the question online, there are several other
options we can implement:

A. If a question is possible to answer correctly without options, it should be answered. You

should start by providing a generic explanation/definition of the topic that the question is
tackling and then move on to stating some examples. Even if there's more than one
possible correct answer, provide at least one possible correct answer, but it is better to
mention other possible correct answers. (example 3)

B. If you have knowledge about specific topics mentioned in a question, answer it normally.
(example 4)

Example 3

The given question is incomplete - it is missing the

options. The requirement can be inferred as being
“Example of concurrent power.”

Notice how the answerer started by explaining what

concurrent power is and then moved on to giving examples.

How to deal with incomplete questions?

Example 4

The question is, again, incomplete.

However, we can notice that it is mainly dealing with
“What lead to the development of Rutherford’s
theory?”

The answerer tackled that part, providing explanation to the

point he/she focused on.

How to deal with incomplete questions?

What if we can’t find the question online?

In case it’s impossible to find the complete version of the question online, there are several other
options we can implement (continuation):

C. If the question literally has no obvious context, try to explain the general concept tackled
by the question and then provide an example of your own to illustrate the procedure or
how to given practical steps and/or calculations (This is mainly for Math, physics, business,
etc.) (example 5)

How to deal with incomplete questions?

Example 5

This question is obviously incomplete, it is missing

the equation which is the key factor to provide an
exact answer. However, we can infer that the student
needs help with how to find order pais satisfying a
given equation.

Notice how the answerer started by stating what order pairs

of an equation are, then moved on to theoretically explaining
how we can get those pairs and ended up with giving an
example of his/her own where an equation was given and
steps to get some of its order pairs were shown.
