1. Locate both the bolt bolts in the holes on the Steering Wheel base plate.
2. Tighten the bolts.
3. Tighten the Big bolt in the centre which will start pulling the steering wheel out.

This helps you to hold the R&P Steering Gear on the workbench for any kind of operation.
1. Hold the Steering gear at the desired position in the U clamp.
2. Hold the tool shank in the vice

1. Remove tie rod end nut.
2. Install the tool.
3. Tighten the tool bolt.
Caution : Ensure the rubber
boot should not get damaged
while installing the tool.










Use the tool for tightening / loosening the Steering pipes at the valve body of the steering
Gear.
Caution : Do not overtight, may damage the valve body.

MST - 221 Wrench Wheel Brg. Adj. Nut Axle

1. Socket on the Wheel Bearing Checknut.
2. Rotate with handle to tighten / loosen.

1. Hold the tool so that the Lower dia is down side.

2. Inset the Piston with rings & conrod in to the tool.

1. Locate the seal in the retainer plate.
2. Use the tool for pressing the seal.
1. Remove the FIP’s locking bolt.

2. Remove the FIP’s mounting bolts.
3. Mount the FIP Pusher on the timing cover with the help of the bolts.
4. Tighten the Lock nuts provided on the shaft;
which will push the FIP out wards
MST – 270 FIP Remover (Chain Drive) Engine
1. Bring piston No. 1 at TDC (MST272), Lock the 4. Remove FIP sprocket mounting nut & wash-
FIP shaft by removing the lock plate & torque er. Put Slotted pins in the Holes (‘F’ should be
the Bolt-1.5kgm. facing you).
2. Remove the FIP mounting bolts. 5. Assemble FIP pusher Plate of MST with Allen
3. Place sprocket Locking pins (three no.) of screws, ensure plate is matching properly on
MST 0270 in sprocket relief holes provided on all the three pins.
FIP sprocket; Torque 1-1.5 kgm. 6. Push FIP by tightening M16 bolt.

Off the Vehicle –
Put the Tool along with Flywheel Ring. Locate the slot with one of the Bell Housing
Mounting Bolt.Tighten it with a bolt.
On the vehicle –
1. Remove Starter Motor.
Use the tool at the starter Motor Mounting position.
1. Replace the Injector No.1 by the tool(MST272).

2. Use Dial gauge on top of the tool.
3. Rotate the engine & mark TDC (Dial Gauge needle changes the Direction of
rotation).

1. Push the Auto tensioner shoe down.Hold the shoe at the bottom position.
2. Insert the tip of the Tool in the Hole provided on the shoe.Ensure complete
insertion of the tool & leave the shoe / piston.

1. Tighten the Spindle with Knurling so as to give minimum dia at split end.Insert the
split end in the bearing.
2. Connect MST-577 at the other end.Operate MST-577 / sliding hammer.

1. After shifting in 5th Gear install the retaining plate MST 503 over the 5th gear’s sector fork shaft.
2. Mount it on two bolts on the intermediate housing.Drive out roll pins from the OD / reverse
fork using MST 517.
3. Insert the reverse collar shaft with its lug facing up.
4. Align the holes on the shaft and housing, Insert the roll pin with the help of drift – MST 517.

MST - 522 (BA10) Support Transmission Gear Box

Mount the gearbox in the stand MST 522 Ensure that the oil is drained.
MST - 523 BA10 Fix. To Extract 5th Gear Gear Box
1. Remove the 5th Gear pinion using MST 523.

2. The legs of the extractor can be expanded or brought near by the handle shown in
the picture.
3. After fixing the extractor rotate the handle provided on the top to remove the pinion.
# - For Nut-Type arrangement, remove the distance piece & use the tool.
1. Place the jaw of the tool properly Rotate the handle slowly so as the end piece on
the screw is squarely seating on the shaft.
2. Rotate the handle further.

1. Put the jaw of the tool under the bearing properly ( Error can damage the bearing).
2. Rotate the handle slowly so as the distance piece on the screw is squarely
seating on the shaft.
3. Rotate the handle further, which will start pulling the Bearing out.
1. After shifting the 5th Gear install the retaining plate MST 503 over the 5th gear’s
sector fork shaft.
2. Mount it on two bolts on the intermediate housing.
3. Drive out roll pins from the OD / reverse fork.
To be used as distance piece while using MST-510 for installing the Input Shaft Bearing.
