Food Collection for St. Camillus Food Pantry on January 5
St. Elizabeth’s parishioners donate food on the first Sunday of every month for
the St. Camillus Food Pantry. You donated 1,912 bags of groceries in
2019. This generous support made a big difference in the Pantry’s ability to
serve it’s needy clients and in the lives of many hungry families. The Pantry is
staffed by 150 volunteers and receives a wide range of financial support from
local government, faith communities, businesses, and individuals. It is a won-
derful example of how a partnership of many dedicated people – including the
faithful food donors of St. Elizabeth – can make an important contribution to the
alleviation of local hunger. The Pantry’s top four food priorities are: Vegetable
Oil, Masa Harina (for tortillas), Black Beans (dried), and White Rice. Other key
needs are: Dried Milk or UHT Shelf-Stable Milk, Canned Fruit (pineapple and
peaches), Oatmeal (canisters), Spaghetti, Pasta and Pasta Sauce, Cornflakes or
Cheerios, Macaroni and Cheese, Canned Tomatoes, Tuna Fish, Canned Corn,
Canned Peas, and Peanut Butter. (The toothpaste, toothbrushes, and toiletries
that some parishioners include with their food donations are also very much ap-
preciated.)

We love having you as part of
