1.0 Scope
This document will detail the steps necessary for final assembly of the Wing Float.

3.0 Requirements
3.1 Equipment
3.1.1 The following tools will be necessary to perform this procedure:
 Awl or Adjustable Wrench
 Drill Bits, Jobber Length, 3/16”
 Drill, Electric, or Cordless
 Hammer, Plastic Tip
 Marker
 Open End Wrench, 3/8”
 Open End Wrench, 7/16”
 Open End Wrench, 1/2”
 Socket Set, SAE, 3/8” and 7/16” sockets

3.2 Materials
The following general supplies will be necessary to perform this procedure:

 Lacquer thinner (Cleaning labels off of parts)

 Protective gloves

Note: Build a Left and Right Float Assembly

Note: Locating the Float Mount Channel Forward look for two holes in the side of the channel. The two holes will be more to the forward end.

1.1 Working from each end of the Float Mount Channel (#3260-005), insert Bolt AN3-15A (N315A) through a Washer, AN3 (N3W), Float Mount Channel
(#3260-005), Plastic Spacer, 1/8” (#5330-005, Wing Float – White (#3260-006), Float Mount Channel (#3260-005), followed by a Washer, Washer, AN3
(N3W), Nut, Lock (N3LN) and tighten. Repeat step for the remaining end of the Float Mount Channel (#3260-005).

Note: Torque Value on the AN3 bolts in this section should be between 20 inch lbs and 25 inch lbs of torque.

2.1 Insert Bolt AN4-20A (N420) through a Washer, AN4 (N4W), through the lower horizontal holes on the Float Mount Plate (#3260-004), Float Mount
Channel (#3260-005), Float Mount Plate (#3260-004), followed by a Washer, AN4 (N4W), Nut, Lock (N4LN) and tighten. Repeat for second hole
location.

Note: Torque Value on the AN4 bolts in this section should be between 50 inch lbs and 70 inch lbs of torque.

3.1 Insert Bolt AN4-20A (N420) through a Washer, AN4 (N4W), through the upper vertical holes of the Float Mount Plate (#3260-004), Float Support Main
Tube (#3260-009), Float Mount Plate (#3260-004), followed by a Washer, AN4 (N4W), Nut, Lock (N4LN) and tighten. Repeat for second hole location.

Note: Torque Value on the AN4 bolts in this section should be between 50 inch lbs and 70 inch lbs of torque.

4.1 Insert Bolt AN4-20A (N420) through a Washer, AN4 (N4W), Float Mount Strap (#3260-012), Saddle, 1” (#5310-024), Float Support Tube, Aft
(#3260-013), Saddle, 1” (#5310-024), Float Mount Strap (#3260-012), followed by a Washer, AN4 (N4W), Nut, Lock (N4LN) and tighten.
Repeat for second hole location.

Note: Torque Value on the AN4 bolts in this section should be between 50 inch lbs and 70 inch lbs of torque.

Note: In the following step, orientation of the eyebolt is not important at this stage of assembly, orientation will be set on final assembly of the aircraft.

5.1 Insert Eyebolt AN43B-20A (N420) through a Washer, AN4 (N4W), Float Mount Strap (#3260-012), Float Support Main Tube (#3260-009), Float Mount
Strap (#3260-012), followed by a Washer, AN4 (N4W), Nut, Lock (N4LN) and tighten.

6.1 Insert Float Strut Support Eye (#3260-007) into one end of the Float Strut Support (#3260-003).
6.2 Orient the Float Strut Support Eye (#3260-007) per the left photo so it fits in the Float Strut Support (#3260-003).
6.3 Using the predrilled 3/16” hole in the Float Strut Support (3260-003) as a guide, drill a 3/16” hole completely through the Float Strut Support Eye
(#3260-007).
6.4 Insert Bolt AN3-11A (N311) through a Washer, AN3 (N3W), Float Strut Support (#3260-003), Float Strut Support Eye (#3260-007), followed by a
Washer, AN3 (N3W) and Nut, Lock (N3LN) and tighten.
6.5 Insert Bolt AN3-11A (N311) through a Washer, AN3 (N3W), Float Strut Support (#3260-003), followed by a Washer, AN3 (N3W) and Nut, Lock
(N3LN). Do NOT tighten.

7.1 Insert Bolt AN3-06A (N306) through a Washer, AN3 (N3W), Float Strut Support Eye (#3260-007), Eyebolt, AN43B-20A (EB20A), followed by Washer,
AN3 (N3W), Nut (N3LN) and tighten.
7.2 Tie wrap or tape the remaining Float Strut Support Eye (#3260-007) around the loose bolt until final assembly of the aircraft.

8.1 Install the Float Support Forward Attach (#3260-011) to the Float Support Main Tube (3260-009) with Bolt AN4-16A. Bolt AN4-16A, through a Washer,
AN4 (N4W), Float Support Main Tube (3260-009), Float Support Forward Attach (#3260-011), Float Support Main Tube (3260-009), followed by Washer,
AN4 (N4W), Nut (N4LN) and tighten.
