DTI BUSINESS PLAN

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

1. Brief Description of the Project

The project aims to give people a great time with the products and services

whilst not spending too much money. It also serves a variety of food choices to the

customers wherein it is ‘affordelicious’ and convenient as they do not have to go

somewhere far only to buy snacks and refreshments; even for the fun and leisure

of playing in an arcade, the business exhibits fun-to-play games as well in the

building.

2. Brief Profile of the Entrepreneur

Ms. Fatrizha Alejah F. Boongaling is a consistent honor student and already

achieved the high honor in Grade 12. She became the ICT Society Grade 11

Representative and Grade 12 class PIO. She is good at having conversation and

she is approachable.

Ms. Desiree Irah C. Dominguez is a consistent honor student since Grade 10 to

Grade 12. She is knowledgeable with various things and seeks to know more in a

casual way of learning. Recently, she has completed her work immersion and

received good remarks with her work and service.

Mr. Pocholo L. Gopez is normal student. He is an honor student that does his

works diligently. He is also a representative in ICT Society that assist in events.

Mr. Wylabel T. Manalang is a consistent honor student from Grade 11-12. He is

good at drawings, especially digital art and animation. Some people think he is

weird but in reality, he is really kind and friendly.

Ms. Julianne E. Patungan is a consistent honor student from Grade 10-12. She is

quiet but friendly and approachable person. Her parents also owns an apartment

as their business and she helps them to manage it. She became the class Auditor

in Grade 12; class and ICT Society Treasurer in Grade 11 and 12.

Mr. Christian Yashuar T. Surla is a Grade 12 student under the strand of ICT. He

have an interest in puzzles and math. Currently the ICT Society President and the

classroom President. He is lazy but reliable, mostly introvert. Has a little bit

experience of having own business and helped at his mother’s sari-sari store.

3. Project’s Contributions to the Economy

The business project, which is an Arcade and Café is beneficial for the

economy as it can bring fun and entertainment for interested customers. It would

gradually help for the growth of electronic arts, and entertainment. This kind of

business can sustain happiness and enjoyment its’ customers in order to keep

them entertained, and so that they can also relax and let out their stress by playing

games and/or by eating to their heart’s content.

Young players would also learn how to face different kinds of challenges with

games that would enhance skills and knowledge depending on the aspect of what

game that they fancy. This project can also be an addition for the future businesses

for a better way of improving our economy.

Section 1

MARKETING PLAN

1.1 Brand Name

Arcafé

The proponents decided to come up with the name ‘Arcafé’, which is a 2-in-

1 word for Arcade and Café. It can also mean “our café” as it is the proponents’

business and that the customers can also treat it as their home because everybody

is welcome here to relax, express, and enjoy its’ Arcade and Café to whatever

extent the service and products can give.

The main colors used in the logo is a solid, bright orange and also a gradient

of pink to brown. The colors chosen are unique, yet sustains the appealing motifs

to the eyes of the customers. The logo contains a coffee cup that has a design of

a joystick and underneath is a small plate for the coffee. The combination of the

given designs simply interprets the symbols of the arcade and the café that makes

up of the business.

The logo is simple a combination of both Arcade and Café, same with the

brand name. The cup with a coffee symbolizes the Café, while the joystick inside

the cup and the buttons over it symbolizes the Arcade’s feature of having them in

their machines.

1.2 Business Description

The business specializes in arcade machines (such as claw machines,

games like Pac-man, shooting games, etc.), a café that serves snacks and

beverages. What also makes the business unique is that the stock products

presented changes based on events or holidays every month and a system that

uses a card to load and buy only from the franchise and to collect points from their

arcade games with ease and convenience.

1.3 Description of the Product

Arcade Machines (Games)

Description Picture

Enemy shooting arcade - In this kind of arcade

game, a player uses a gun from the machine

wherein he has to shoot a specific enemy. This

also has various settings and platforms so the

player can be immersed in an area where there

is a terrorist or he will be placed in the area that

is abandoned and full of zombies. This can

accommodate single or dual-players in-game.

Claw machine(s) - This kind of machine offers a

variety of prizes such as stuffed toys, candies, or

even gadgets depending on the events or

holidays the business will open. The claw is

controlled by using a joystick wherein it is able to

move back, forth, and sideways. The claw

descends to its’ the destined location and

attempts to collect the prize when the player

presses a button to confirm it. There will be a

timer that will do a countdown while the player

decides where they will position the claw. The

timer only stops when the button is pressed or

when the time is already up.

Street Basketball Arcade Machine - This

basketball machine only consists of 5 balls. Every

shoot into the basketball ring is equivalent to 2

points. The player will have 30 seconds in the first

phase to reach 15 points, and it jumps to the next

level that is slightly more difficult than before and

so on. It allows the player to enjoy the game until

the allotted time is finally over. The player can

shoot in the basketball ring that is either steady

or moving sideways. The player will get the

available ball in front of him and must have a

specific score in order to continue. The higher the

score the player accumulates, the longer he can

play in the game. Every time the levels are

surpassed, the game gets harder and

challenging.

Pac Man- a 1980's arcade game that will be

included in the business as it was a famous game

for both young players and elderly. It is a survival

game wherein two or more ghost/ creatures are

chasing the character, it also depends on the

level. A cherry inside the level is an extra life. The

big circle gives an ability to eat the ghost for 10

seconds. It's a game where Pac Man eats circles

and must not touched by the ghost as the cherry

will be minimized. The goal of this game is to eat

all the circles to get into the next level.

Car racing game - A type of game where the

player must race to the finish line against another

player or an AI from the game. The controls are

almost the same as how a real car operates. The

game contains a variety of racing cars to choose

from (e.g., Lamborghini, Ferrari, etc.) that can be

unlocked if the player has enough money in-

game to buy it. It also has different types of

modes to choose from (e.g., arcade, casual

survival, etc.) It also has different settings of

places and weather conditions that can be

unlocked as the player progresses and is able to

buy them with the money collected in-game. The

machine also consists of a steering wheel, brake

and acceleration paddles. A manual on how to

play the machine is also included on a part of the

machine which is visible to the players in order to

understand how the game will be played.

Coin Pusher - These games are characterized by

multiple levels filled with medals or coins. ...

When a coin is dropped in, it falls onto one of the

platforms and has a chance of pushing some of

the other medals off of the edge and to the player

as its’ prize. Timing in dropping the coin is a skill

factor in the game. The type of coin accepted in

the game can only be one-peso coin(s), any other

coin different from what is mentioned will not be

able to enter the machine.

Café

Sandwiches – These has different kinds which

are tuna, ham, and ham & egg. The prices will

differ depending on what kind of sandwich the

customer will choose.

Burgers – These are available with cheese or

cheese and egg. The prices will differ

depending on what kind of burger the

customer will choose. Vegetable is already

free for this product and optional for the

customers to add on.

Ice cream - This product is famous especially

for kids. It can be in a cone or in a cup.

Customers can also choose different flavors

that is available. The cups are available in

sizes in small, medium, and large.

Fries – Deep fried strips of potatoes which are

a very good combo for burgers. It also has

three flavors available: cheese, sour cream,

and barbeque.

Pasta - This food product has two (2) kinds of

sauce, a sauce for spaghetti, and for

carbonara. It is a heavy meal that is good to

fill up one’s stomach together with a nice

flavor to enjoy.

Hot and Cold Beverages (Tea, Coffee, Juice,

Shakes, Frappuccinos) - It is a product that

brings refreshment to the customers

depending to their tastes as it is available in

both hot and cold.

Tea – This is usually drank to clean a person's

intestine. It has a lot of proven good effects to

the body when ingested. This can be ordered

by customers who wants to have a healthy

and relaxing drink. Tea is available as a hot

beverage only.

Coffee - This gives adrenaline to a person and

makes them energized and awake. It is one of

the popular hot beverages in every cafes, as

it is tasty and relaxing to drink at any time of

the day. People usually order these in the

morning as it awakens them from head to toe.

Coffee also boosts them the energy they

need. Proponents will sell classic brew,

Americano, and mocha latte as their available

flavors. Coffee is available as a hot and cold

beverage.

Juice – This gives a refreshing taste and

feeling to the customer. It is also healthy since

these has fruit flavors such as orange,

pineapple, mango, cucumber, and four

seasons. Juice will be available as a cold drink

only.

Shakes – This also gives refreshing to the

customer because of the flavors and the cold

taste it brings. The flavors available are just

the same as what the juice’s offered flavors

are. Shakes will be available as a cold

beverage only.

Frappuccino – This is also one of the famous

beverages in a café. It can have different

toppings and flavors. The unique appeal of a

Frappuccino is the foam cream above it. The

flavors are Mocha, Cookies n Cream,

Chocolate, and Vanilla. The toppings may be

chocolate chips and/or sprinkles. Frappuccino

will be available as a cold beverage only.

Cake – This mostly served in events like

birthdays, but is also present in other kinds of

celebrations and commemorations. This is

usually the center of attraction in every

events. It will be served per slice to the

customers, but they can also buy these as a

whole. The cakes have different flavors, such

as triple chocolate, ube, vanilla, caramel, and

strawberry,

Donut – This is one of the famous pastries in

this generation. It is made of dough that takes

form of a circle loop with a hole in the middle.

The donut has various flavors such as

Ferrero, strawberry, chocolate and vanilla.

Beef Tacos – This dish that originated in

Mexico has crispy, hard shell base, delicious

ground beef fillings, tomatoes and cheese. It

will only serve in a regular size, but it is

assured that it has a unique taste that

everyone will love.

1.4 Product Positioning

The tagline of the business is: "At the end of the day, it’s always Arcafé”

Other than the fact that the tagline rhymes at each end, it is confidently guaranteed

that Arcafé will always be the place to go whenever anyone needs fun, enjoyment

and engagement in fun relaxation. For a customer can always enjoy the products

and services of the business whether they are alone, with their friends, or with their

family.

1.5 Comparison of the Product with Its Competitors

The Arcade will be frequently change with its product every holidays,

season, trends and/or events. By doing so, it would satisfy the customers for there

are gaming machines inside the arcade which will be new to their eyes. Some of

the machines can also from old generation arcade games to create a nostalgic

feeling among the older generation, and some can be modern arcade games that

will also be a new face to the both of young and old generations.

The business is located at #24 Bacon St. East Tapinac, Olongpo City. The

property will be invested by Julianne E. Patungan, one of the proponents. The

entrepreneurs chose this location due to it being near to schools such as Wesley

and Gordon College, which are walking distance from the location of the business.

It is also near a barangay post, which means it is an accessible and secured

location. For about two turns, Magsaysay Road will be visible and accessible to

pass through and same as the Rizal Avenue’s visibility. The location is also

surrounded mostly by young people aged 10 and above. The location is beneficial

for the business since it will helpful to make it popular and familiar for everyone

around the area and the people of Olongapo City.

1.7 Main Customers

The potential market customers for this business is ages 15-70 years old

and the target market is the customers with an allowance of 2000 above a month.

When it comes to the arcade the main customers are the teenagers to around 25

year old who enjoys arcades. For the café mostly for people who have a business

meeting or need to do projects.

1.12 Promotional Measures

The business will be promoted through the social media via Facebook. This

will spread with the help of the business owners' acquaintances, relatives, or

friends. The owners will also ask for permission to the relatives of each proponents

to spread the information about the business and also get reviews about the

business once they have already tried the business out.

For the first opening, the business will be having its first 50% discount

promo as it is effective to attract the customers and increase their curiosity about

the business’ products and service.

It will also have an Instagram account wherein the pictures of the indoor

and outdoor views of the building, products available, vending machines, cafe, and

arcade machines will be posted to give the customers an awareness about the

business itself. By this, the business will keep the people updated with what they

have in store.

The proponents decided to have a social media product giveaways to attract

and be connected with the customers easily. It will make our customers to visit the

page and be a fan of our business and products. Having Twitter account for the

business will also help as it can easily spread information about the business by

retweeting and liking the tweets. The owners behind the page will also actively try

and respond immediately to inquiries about the business over the internet.

Lastly, the business owners will also print tarpaulins and flyers to promote

the business around the city.

The tarpaulin is 4x5 and will be putted in the posts on the streets. The

quantity is 21pcs as it would be posted in every barangay of Olongapo City. Then

the flyers will be distributed to the places that are crowded just like in the bridge

going to Ayala and also in the streets. The distribution of flyers will be in the first 3

days of opening, then the following distribution will be when the Arcafe are going

to have a special event on holidays and when there is a promo happening with the

business. The tarpaulins and flyers will be from Alfox Printing Services, a legit

Online Print Shop.
