Narrative Report Brigada
The Department of Education for many years have reiterated the National Schools Maintenance
Week in DepED Memorandum No.172,s.2019 otherwise known as National Schools Maintenance
Week or commonly called Brigada Eskwela,which aims to prepare the school one week before it’s
formal opening of classes with the years theme,’Matatag na Bayan Para sa Maunlad na Paaralan.’It
started on 20th until 25th of May 2019.
Tuod Integrated School headed by the very active and supportive School Principal,Alvin A.
Sabayanan started the Brigada by having an Opening Program attended by stakeholders from different
sectors of the barangay, like the Barangay Council, LGU, 4P’s, Youth and other sectors.
All teachers were assigned in different committees during the Brigada Eskwela. There was a
registration on the first day of the different stakeholders.
On the second day, we cleaned inside and outside the classroom with full cooperation and
participation of the people in the barangay.
On the third day, there were parents who helped us in painting outside wall of the building and
painting the front portion of some classroom.
On the fourth day, some parents offered their services in installing the electrical wirings of some
classroom.On the last day, some 4P’S members helped in cleaning the whole surrounding of the
school.They cut down the branches of the trees,swept the leaves on the ground and some watered the
plants too.
Brigada Eskwela was successfully implemented in Tuod Integrated School and the school was
ready on the opening of classes last June 2019.
