Mindful Leadership and Meditation Expert

In last three decades of his life’s journey, Shri Gauranga Das has touched and transformed countless
lives through his activities and different roles he has been adapting to drive change in society. He is a
Mindful Leadership Consultant and is running initiatives related to Meditation, Yoga and preventive
de-addiction thus empowering thousands of youth to positively transform their lives
He is on the Board of Advisors of the Chanakya IAS Academy and is involved in training future
bureaucrats and public leaders in responsible mindful leadership with character and integrity based
on the principles of Bhagavad Gita. He is regularly invited to the various centers of the academy all
across the country for conducting the Santulan course, a 25 hours unique wholesome personality
development program selectively designed for equipping aspiring civil servants with the requisite
competencies, attitude and character to give them a solid foundation for the noble mission of nation
building. He along with the Chanakya IAS Academy has also started another UPSC coaching center at
the Govardhan Ecovillage.
With his refined sense for cultural engineering he could open doors for innovation in institutional
practices of ISKCON. He is involved in the leadership and organizational development of ISKCON
organization in various capacities including being Global Duty Officer of ISKCON, Divisional Director of
Devotee Care, Temple Development, Systems and Administration of ISKCON temples Worldwide
Trustee of ISKCON GBC College, the official leadership school for ISKCON, Director of Govardhan
Ecovillage, Co-Temple President of ISKCON Chowpatty etc.
Being a corporate coach, he is giving guidance to corporate leaders and is the convenor of events like
(1) ‘Artha’ Conference to inspire entrepreneurs and company heads to give back to society, (2) ‘Nexus’
Conference to bring together Environment leaders, corporate heads etc. to resolve current
environment issues (3) ‘Hinduism and Ecology’ Conference is a new initiative to bring together
theological practitioners for a global cause.
He is an environmental steward and has implemented sustainable green initiatives in Govardhan
Ecovillage (GEV). He is an emerging social reformer and is facilitating transformation in the lives of
tribal villagers through various social and economic interventions. Under his guidance, GEV won more
than 30 awards in last 5 years including the International Green World Award for Sustainable Waste
Management, Green Village Platinum ratings by Indian Green Building Council etc. He also led India to
win the United Nations Award for Excellence and Innovation in Sustainable Tourism by presenting
GEV’s case study of “Ecotourism as a catalyst for Rural Development” at Spain. Recently GEV also got
accredited to the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA), the world’s highest level decision
making body on environment. He received the title of IGBC Fellow from the Indian Green Building
Council for his outstanding contribution to the green building movement in India.

He is an inspirational speaker for by his expertise of presenting Vedic Knowledge in a contemporary


and enticing way, he is making spirituality accessible to all. He has represented ISKCON as a speaker
in various conferences like TEDx. He was invited at Google headquarters to speak on Greed to Green.
He has given more than 10,000 discourses in last two decades on Srimad Bhagvatam, Bhagavad Gita
amongst other scriptures.

He is a masterpiece chef and with his team he enabled setting up of self-sufficient, low cost, high
quality (up to 5000 square feet area) Mega Kitchens during annual pilgrimages to holy places. This was
featured on National Geographic Channel as one of the India’s Mega Kitchens that can serve more
than 10,000 people at times. Personally, he has cooked more than 3 million plates of sanctified
vegetarian meals (prasadam) in the 2007-2018 period in temple and pilgrimage kitchen.
An extraordinary teacher and academician, he is the trustee of a vast manuscripts library containing
approximately 20,000 works on a vast variety of India’s ancient religions and cultures. He is also the
Chairman of Bhaktivedanta Vidyapitha Research centre, a centre affiliated with Mumbai University for
Indian Philosophy and Vaishnavism. He has presented several research papers in ecology and
theology. He is a B.Tech. Graduate from IIT Bombay.
