Winter Storm Possible Friday Through Saturday

 The threat of seeing wintry precipitation across the area Friday and
Saturday is increasing.
 The system will begin with widespread rain Friday afternoon into
Friday night.
 Freezing rain and sleet will fall Friday night through early Saturday.
 This will be followed by accumulating snow Saturday through Saturday
evening, with the possibility of blowing snow Saturday night.

Winter Storm Possible Friday Through Saturday

Timing
 The system will begin to impact the area Friday afternoon, and is
expected to last through Saturday night

Potential Impacts
 Rain may be heavy at times Friday afternoon into Friday night, with
totals of 1 to 2 inches possible over northeast Missouri, far southeast
Iowa and west central Illinois. This may lead to a low risk of minor
flooding.
 Falling temperatures will bring a threat of freezing rain, sleet and snow
Friday night. Light accumulations may lead to travel difficulties,
 Accumulating snow Saturday into Saturday night along with blowing
snow may lead to additional travel difficulties and reduced visibilities.

Confidence
 Confidence is high on a storm impacting the area. However, there is low
confidence on precipitation types, amounts and magnitude of impacts.
