Yes, objects drop in Statoil too

• Dropped Objects a puzzle, hassle, killer and challenge

− Tools, flying wind panels, ice, equipment, goods, bags
• We investigate all serious incidents
• Same findings over and over
• Few orrurances with actual serious consequences 
• But they do occur, and they certainly can kill

Statoil and DROPS

• Statoil supports standardisation in the industry for common good

• Statoil will consider DROPS thresholds over SfS. In real life, little change

• The IOGP has referred to Norway for good practices related to the prevention of
DO, yet we need to be vigilant and open for new insight.
