As a police officer, how are you going to show your support to the GAD Advocacy Program?
Before, gender equality was not given priority and importance in the society because it was
believed to be part of culture diversity that men are above women in almost all aspects. But somehow
things have changed as time went by. We now have embraced the GAD Advocacy Program which
has been continuously spreading and implemented in the society.
Increasing number of women being members of the Philippine National Police organization is
a sign of leaping greater heights for GAD Advocacy Program. And as for me being a police officer, I
can show my support to this GAD Advocacy Program by conducting and participating in gender-
related programs, trainings and activities.
Conducting information dissemination to the community in barangays about GAD and its
purpose is another way to show support for this advocacy. Another thing is reaching out to LGUs
and other private institutions about recognizing equal rights of the people with regards to job
opportunities and employment.
And most especially, I should personally observe within my workplace respect for gender
equality and development and spread it towards everyone else in the PNP organization.
