INTRODUCTION

In this chapter of the study, background of the study, statement of the problem,

significance of the study, scope and delimitation, conceptual framework, and definition of

terms will be presented as these things have been employed by the researchers for this

study.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

In today’s generation, the use of different technologies and access to the internet

is really a need most especially to students. As the time passes by, there were already a

lot of technological innovations and upgrades that has been done to be able to serve our

needs and wants. Internet is one of the most popular necessity in terms of education for

it helps us to browse and search different websites that we need to gain and learn

knowledge from it.

According to Berson (2000), internet has become very useful and popular in many

areas as well as in education in the past years. Accordingly, Internet access in schools

has greatly increased over the last 20 years. In some other cases, people tend to use this

technological advances and easy access to internet on the other way around. Technology

and Internet addiction are just some of the problem that we face in our present time.

According to Hartney (2019), internet addiction is also considered as a behavioral

addiction in which an individual is dependent on the use of Internet, or other online

devices, as a maladaptive way of coping with life’s stresses. Internet addiction is already
becoming widely acknowledged and recognized. Much of the current research on this

certain subject has been carried out in Asia.

Technology and Internet access are used as a medium to help the students to their

educational purposes. This can help the students to have an unlimited access in terms of

receiving and viewing of the information needed. Since the 18th century, technology rose

as a part of our live. It helped us to make our lives easier and better. Technology become

very helpful to every students by helping to learn and to discover new ideas. Not only the

students who benefit from this, but also every individual who has the capacity have an

access on it.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

1.What are the effects of technology to the High school students of baranggay 169 in

Pasay city?

MINOR

1.How can the high school students lessen their time in using technology such as

gadgets etc..?

2. What are the ways that the High school students can do to avoid the mismanagement

of time using technology?

3.What are the consequences if the High school students relay on the easy access of

technology?
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The focus of the study is to determine the effect of a advance technology to the

High School Student in 169 Barangay Pasay City. Nowadays student always use

technology in their home and school so how this effect their behavior in school

and studies. The researcher assumed to know the effect of technology to student

are good and bad. This involves a survey o those student's always use

technology in their daily life even in school.

This study is limited only for those high school students in barangay 169 pasay

city who uses of technology and has access to the internet.

In this study, researchers will find that lf most of the student will depend on the

technology for their study.
