E-sports (also known as electronic sports,

e-sports, or eSports) is a form of sport competition using video games.
[1] Esports often takes the form of organized, multiplayer video game competitions,
particularly between professional players, individually or as teams.
Although organized competitions have long been a part of video game culture,
these were largely between amateurs until the late 2000s,
when participation by professional gamers and spectatorship in these events
through live streaming saw a large surge in popularity.
[2][3] By the 2010s,

ARHAN:

One of the esports games is Counter-Strike Global Offensive. And the most famous
esport game is League of Legends.

DENİZ: The most common video game genres associated with esports are multiplayer
online battle arena , first-person shooter (FPS), fighting,
card games, battle royales, and real-time strategy.

GALİP: The earliest known video game competition took place on 19 October 1972 at
Stanford University for the game Spacewar.[10] Stanford students were invited to an
"Intergalactic spacewar olympics" whose grand prize was a year's subscription for
Rolling Stone, with Bruce Baumgart winning the five-man-free-for-all tournament and
Tovar and Robert E. Maas winning the team competition.

YİĞİT ALİ: Today, we will talk about League of Legends and Counter Strike Global
Offensive.

ARHAN: In Counter-Strike: The game pits two teams against each other: the
Terrorists and the Counter-Terrorists.
Both sides are tasked with eliminating the other while also completing separate
objectives. The Terrorists, depending on the game mode, must either plant the bomb
or defend the hostages, while the Counter-Terrorists must either prevent the bomb
from being planted,
defuse the bomb, or rescue the hostages.

YİĞİT ALİ: It's the main idea of the game. And let's talk about League of Legends.

ARHAN: In League of Legends, players assume the role of an unseen "summoner" that
controls a "champion" with
unique abilities and battle against a team of other players or computer-controlled
champions.
The goal is usually to destroy the opposing team's "Nexus", a structure that lies
at the
heart of a base protected by defensive structures, although other distinct game
modes exist as well.

GALİP: Yes, I want to ask you something. Do esport players win money?

YİĞİT ALİ: Yes they do, also they win a lot of money.

DENİZ: Amazing, I want to be a esport player too.
