LV: I’m so glad you could be here after that horrendous boat accident.

LA: Thank you. You mean the Titanic? I prefer not to think about that tragic incident
(scoffs)

LV: I am hoping to recruit some ladies to join the Women’s Suffrage Movement at the
party tonight

LA: I’m sure some of the 200 odd ladies I have here tonight will be interested in the
cause!

LV: That’s wonderful! I’m impressed by your large number of acquaintances (somewhat
jealous)

LA: Oh yes, of course, I pride myself on my high social status.

LV: Let’s start announcing the show events

a. SOPHIA Intro: Our first act will be a climactic scene from Anton Chekhov’s
famous play, Three Sisters. Of the sisters, Olga is the eldest, trying to guide
her siblings, Masha the middle child, who is secretly in love with a
married man, and Irina, the youngest, has to decide whether to marry for
love or for duty. Enjoy!

11. Pygmalion: Delia, Andre


a. SYLVIA Next up, the progressive show Pygmalion about Professor
Higgins, a professor of phonetics who attempts to teach Eliza Doolittle
how to speak proper English and be “a lady.” Written by George Bernard
Shaw and first presented in 1913, this show is set in London and is a
romantic comedy with a wealth of emotion, social commentary, and
humor.

a. SOPHIA Intro: Next up is Give My Regards To Broadway, originally written
for the show Little Johnny Jones by George Michael Cohan in 1904. The song
is meant to convey a yearning and a wistfulness in regards for Broadway
