MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE CENTRIFUGAL FANS IN BOX CASING

1) FOREWORD
All our fans are balanced and checked before shipment.
Moreover we underline that the major components such as fan and motor are in
accordance with the Low Voltage Directive (73/23 -2006/95/CE) and the
Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (2004/108/CE), but as the wiring operations are
due to installer, it’s installer’s responsibility to do the necessary tests to conform the
machine to the above the mentioned Directives.
ATTENTION: For installation without canal, equip the machine with protection grid
against accidents.

2) DESCRIPTION OF MACHINE
Centrifugal double inlet fan in box casing are used in room with clean air and temperature
Attention: please check the diagram above with that inside of motor between -20° and +40°C type ACC, temperature between -20°C and +60°C type ATC.
3) PRECAUTION LEGEND FOR BELT DRIVE MODELS:
- Move the machine using only personal protective measures (as protective gloves) 1 Fan 2 Motor 3 Belt 4 Fan pulley 5 Motor pulley
- Don’t put hand at the moving parts and don’t remove the safety devices until you are
sure that the fan cannot be supplied with electrical power.
- Panels removal must be carried out only when the machine is off and the duty switch
is opened.
- If the machine is installed far from the control panel, the law makes provision for a
duty switch near the machine.

4) INSTALLATION
1 Equip the machine with control- panel with thermal protection;
2 Make the inlet hole into the panel opposite to the outlet, making an opportune opening;
3 Fix on the machine in a suited way;
4 Open the inspection panel;
5 Check that all transmission units are free;
6 Tighten all screws;
7 Verify belt tension (for transmission models)
8 Connect the motor to electrical supply according to the rules in force; CONNECTION DIAGRAM
9 Make sure that the impeller sense of rotation is right (as shown by indicator on label) ;
10 Check that electrical input does not exceed what is shown on the fan’s plate; MOTOR TWO POLES
11 If there are any troubles, turn off the switch immediately.

5) MAINTENANCE
It is recommended to inspect the electrical motor, the blower and generally all parts of Single winding Commutable Double winding Delta connection
fan periodically. Frequency of maintenance depends on the really conditions of usage. 2/4 or 4/8 poles 6 terminal 4/6 poles – 6/8 poles 230/3/50
High speed (lower poles) 400/3/50
Before starting any operation on the fan, make sure that the fan is disconnected from
the electrical supply and that it is in safety conditions. 400/3/50
Periodical inspection:
- test bolts and nuts that must be tightened very well;
- remove any accumulation of dust or grease from blower and motor, in order to avoid Low speed
vibration and damage to bearings;
- test tension, wear and tear of drive belts every month;
- replace bearings every 30.000 hours of working.
NB In case it is necessary to replace some parts of machine, it is recommended to use
only original spare parts.

6) SAFETY MEASURES
The following safety rules should be followed carefully during all operations of
maintenance and working. High speed
The company is not responsible for any damage to the fan or for injuries
to the user caused by non-observance of safety measures.
- Before starting any maintenance operation, break off the electrical supply; Star connection
- Any modification to fan must be carried out by qualified personnel authorized from Low speed
(higher poles)

- Don’t expose the fan to water-jet.
For anticlockwise rotation it’s enough to reverse the two phases.
