Week 3 – Friday,
Dates and
Time
I. OBJECTIVES
The learners demonstrate an understanding of how gases behave based on
A. Content Standard
the motion and relative distances between gas particles.
B. Performance Standard
C. Learning The learners should be able to:
Competencies/ investigate the relationship between:
Objectives. 1.1 volume and pressure at constant temperature of a gas;
(Write the LC code for 1.2 volume and temperature at constant pressure of a gas;
each) 1.3 explains these relationships using the kinetic molecular theory
A. Introduce Robert Boyle
D. Specific/Activity B. Explain the Boyle’s law
objective C. Translate the Boyle’s law into mathematical equation
D. Solve problem regarding the Boyle’s law

The content revolves around the Boyle’s Law

III. LEARNING
RESOURCES
A. References
1. Teacher’s Guide pages
2. Learner’s Material pages
3. Textbook pages
4. Additional Material from
Learning Resource (LR)
Portal
B. Other Learning Resources The teacher uses visual aids and PowerPoint presentation.

IV. PROCEDURES
A. ELICIT
The teacher recall the properties of gas and the variables that describe them.
B. ENGAGE
The teacher will let the students do an activity where they can make an
observation and asked to answer the following questions:
1. Try to put the inflated/deflated balloon in the bottle. Is there a
difference?
2. What happen when you blow up the balloon inside the bottle?
3. Why it is hard to blow up the balloon inside the bottle?
4. What do you think will happen if we put a hole in the bottom side of
the bottle and repeat all the procedure?
5. How will you describe the air inside the bottle?
C. EXPLORE
The teacher facilitates an interactive discussion using visual aids and
PowerPoint presentation regarding the Boyle’s Law.
1. Who is Robert Boyle?
2. What is stated in the Boyle’s Law?
3. How can you explain the relationship of pressure and volume with
respect to constant temperature and amount of substance (gas)?
D. EXPLAIN
The teacher will explain the concepts of Boyle’s Law in computational
approach. (Derivation of formula)
1. What are the two constant variables in Boyle’s Law?
2. Give the unit for volume and pressure.
E. ELABORATE
The teacher will let the students to solve problems about Boyle’s Law.
F. EVALUATE
The teacher administers a quiz.
G. EXTEND

V. REMARKS

VI. REFLECTION
A. No. of learners who earned 80%
on the formative assessment
B. No. of learners who require
additional activities for remediation.
C. Did the remedial lessons work?
No. of learners who have caught up
with the lesson.
D. No. of learners who continue to
require remediation
E. Which of my teaching strategies
worked well? Why did these work?
F. What difficulties did I encounter
which my principal or supervisor can
help me solve?
G. What innovation or localized
materials did I use/discover which I
wish to share with other teachers?
