For this task, we're going to have to put on our city manager hat because we're going to be
constructing a city map. This will help us demonstrate our understanding of parallel lines and
transversals as well as special angles through the construction of a small town or city.

Please remember to label your streets, name your town, and give your town some life! Draw a
gym, make a bagel shop everyone goes to on Sundays, hey, you could even draw the creepy
guy that stands on the corner. Below we will explore what sort of parameters our city map will
need in order to appease the Gods of Construction (Mr. Grover).
1) Level 3: Like all strong cities, your map must have a town center consisting of two lines
intersecting perpendicularly. Expanding out from your city center must be streets consisting of:
→ 3 distinct sets of 3-5 parallel lines
→ At least 3-4 pairs of angles demonstrating at least one of each of the following and the
measurements of each pair of angles:
--Alternate Interior Angles
--Alternate Exterior Angles
--Consecutive Interior Angles
--Consecutive Exterior Angles
--Correspondnig Angles

2) Level 4:
→ Take a pair of angles defined as alternate inteior. Find the measure of one (using a protractor)
and label the other as 2x + 9. Then solve for x.
→ Find a pair of consecutive interior angles. Find the measure of one and label the other angle as
15 - 4x. Then solve for x.
