Trucare Trust was established with the sole aim of providing a rehab facility that can
match up to the prescribed ethical and professional standards of addiction treatment.
Trucare’s aim is not only to provide world class treatment to alcoholics and addicts, but
also provide the addict’s family with the support it requires in dealing with the
situations.Trucare uses the WHO (World Health Organization) approved 12-Step
treatment process to achieve complete abstinence from drug or alcohol abuse. The 12
Step process is considered the “most effective treatment for addiction” , as it is a
holistic approach targeted at healing mind, body and spirit. It helps the addicts not
only through the treatment process, but also enables them to choose a new way of life
that supports them throughout their recovery and abstinence.

 Treatment
Prior to admission, we complete a comprehensive analysis of each individual’s history,
including the type and length of drug abuse, as well as health, family and social issues.
This drug addiction history is used to structure a drug treatment program.

The Recovery process at Trucare uses the structured 12-Step process in treating
addictive and dysfunctional behaviours. The 12 step process was first used by Alcoholic
Anonymous as a clearly defined protocol to be followed to recover from alcohol
dependency. However this is not merely a process to stop drinking or to stop abusing
drugs. It becomes the foundation to starting a new way of life.

The recovery process lasts for anywhere between 3 to 6 months. Though the focus is
on recovering from addiction, the program works towards re-establishing the addicts
as responsible and productive individuals. The program enables them to make life style
changes and manage their feelings that will help them to abstain from drug/alcohol
abuse.
