Risk mitigation

Due to the geographical difficulties, the risk of natural calamities like land slide, earthquake, flood,
fire and soil erosion are high in the hill and mountainous region of Nepal. It is, therefore very
important to build resilient house -safe and disaster resistance. We must minimize these kinds of
risks while we are building the house. Some of common risks and their mitigation are mentioned
below:
