CONGRATULATIONS!

On behalf of the SouthSide Film Institute, we are pleased to inform you that the SSFF Jury has
selected your film to screen during the SouthSide Film Festival 2019 on June 11th – 15th. The focus
of our Festival is the filmmaker, and we hope you will join us in Bethlehem during our festival and
participate in the festivities.

Please review the below information for other information regarding screening formats and info for
attending the festival if you’re able!

FESTIVAL FORMATS
H264, ProRes are preferred. If you are able to sending a disc, please do so immediately and let us
know ASAP. Back-up copies of discs are always welcome. Dropbox (or a similar service) links are the
best for us! Please contact me at your earliest convenience with how you wish to submit the final cut
of your film.

Promotional Material – we love to hang posters and will display whatever flyers you might have.
Attending the fest? Let us know, even if just thinking about it (free housing!). There will be time
allotted, after each screening, for Q&A with the audience if you desire. We need confirmation that
you will need housing by May 27th at 12pm EST at the latest or else we cannot guarantee
housing.

ATTENDING THE FESTIVAL

The SouthSide Film Festival has become known for our filmmaker hospitality. We’ve had filmmakers
from across the world join us, so please consider doing so yourself! If you are thinking about, or want
to commit to attending the festival, please advise us as soon as possible. Filmmakers attending the
festival will be able to take advantage of the following:
• Two (2) All-Festival-Access passes. Can’t attend? You can email us the names of two people to
receive your passes.
• Filmmaker Village – free housing for each director/crew/cast member. You can bring at least one
other guest (maybe more) for only $39.95/night (this may increase very slightly). Suites range from 3
to 5 bedrooms and all include bath, kitchen and living room.

• One (1) Free Entry Submission waiver good for any subsequent SouthSide Film Festival (limited
to one entry per director, not per selected production).
• One (1) Free Entry Submission waiver for a friend to the 2020 SSFF.
• SSFF T-shirt and poster
• Complimentary Filmmaker Brunch on Sunday, June 16th
• Opening Night Party & Closing Night Party – hang out with the festival crew, volunteers, fans,
film buffs, and other filmmakers while dining on complimentary food and taking advantage of the cash
bar.

THINGS WE NEED FROM YOU CHECKLIST -:

• Final copy of your film - If you share a file via Dropbox or other file service, please also share

• A yes/no if you’re attending the festival and if you’ll need housing - DUE BY MAY 31
• Headshot of director - DUE BY MAY 27
• SHORT bio of director - DUE BY MAY 27
• Still from the film - DUE BY MAY 27
• Short synopsis of the film if there’s not one in FilmFreeway. Please keep the synopsis as brief as
possible! If you send over a huge synopsis or bio we will pare it down.- DUE BY MAY 27

If we don't have your materials in time we will omit photos/info or use what is available online
from other festivals or your website if we can locate it.
