On the 22th day of March 1897, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo was elected president in an
assembly presided by Bonifacio for the election of a central government that would take
charge of the insurrection, in the gathering of the two (2) councils – the Magdiwang and
Magdalo – together with the principal military leaders in the estate-house of Tejeros.
Argument 2:
Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo was able to effect a reconciliation with many revolutionary
leaders through the intercession of his followers present at the Tejeros Assembly.
