Eportfolio Math Reflection
Eportfolio Math Reflection
This year I have been able to learn a lot in my Math 1030 class. This was my first
college class that I have ever taken, so I was determined to get good grades since it affected my
college gpa. One of my absolute favorite subjects to learn about this year was Finance. After
learning more about it, I was able to better understand why so many people go into debt and
struggle with finance. If you don’t have the proper knowledge on finance and how important it
is to understand, you will most likely go into debt. In my personal opinion, finance is the most
important subject that I feel I have learned in math up to this point. It is something that no
matter what I decide to go into career wise, I will use in my life. Everybody has to deal with
money on a daily basis and should know how to handle it smartly and properly. Problem solving
is another important aspect that I will forever use. I will always need to be able to solve or figure
out certain situations and problem solving has taught be how to do these things. Math can be
used in our every day lives, no matter what our occupation is. Problem solving has allowed me
to learn many different everyday situations and how to solve them efficiently so I can get the
best possible outcome. Between finance and problem solving this semester, I feel better
prepared for figuring things out on my own once I graduate high school and move onto college.
I am grateful that I have been taught from a young age the importance of being careful with my
money, and now that I understand more about finance, I can be even more with my money and
how I use it. I now know how to meet my retirement goal and what to do when I am buying a
house.
