Rule-3 of Maharashtra RTI Rules, 2005 has prescribed

the format of RTI Application. This rule asks the
applicant to make an application   to the concerned
State Public Information Officer on a plain paper in
the format given in Annexure-A. You can write your
RTI Application in either English or Marathi. I have
provided below the RTI Application Form in Marathi
pdf Download (Annexure-A), which you may download
and fill.

You should write your RTI Application in the format

provided above because if you don’t do so then your
application may be rejected by the State Public
Information Officer. As per the Rule-3A of the
Maharashtra RTI (Amendment) Rules, 2012, you must
follow the following two rules while writing your
application:

1) Your request for information shall relate to only

single subject matter; and

2) The total number of words in your RTI Application

shall not be more than 150.

If you would like to write your RTI application in

English, then you can refer to the English Version of
this Application Form at RTI Maharashtra Application
Form in English.

Public Information Officer in Maharashtra at
Maharashtra SPIO Address.
