1 LIST OF APPROVED MANUFACTURERS

List of Acceptable Manufacturers/ Suppliers/Specialist Contractors
All manufacturers must have authorized representation in KSA, supported by maintenance engineers and an
adequate stock of spares, and have previously undertaken substantial projects in KSA and approved by the
Engineer during the course of the construction including the suppliers/manufacturers indicated in the list given
below. Start-up, testing and commissioning of the major equipment shall be under the supervision of of a
qualified and authorized commissioning teams from manufacturers.
All similar equipment shall be of one manufacturer as far as possible and standardization of components shall
be utilized to reduce the quantity of spares required.
The Contractor shall ensure that the equipment offered is suitable for the intended purpose, can be installed
in the spaces provided, with due regard to ease of maintenance and replacement, and that delivery is available
to suit the building programme.
Acceptance of submittals by the Engineer does not relieve the Contractor of his responsibility to provide
equipment suitable in dimension, construction, function and finish for the purpose intended.
The following table gives acceptable manufacturers/suppliers/specialist contractors for the Contractor’s
benefit. In selecting alternative manufacturers the Contractor must ensure that adequate space is available
for his intended equipment to the satisfaction of the manufacturer’s recommendations.
