Ravi Sphero Cast is a jobbing foundry, where Grey Iron and Spheroidal Graphite cast iron casting are

produced according to the requirements of our valuable clients. i.e,

 Duties and Responsibility ( JDs )

 Management of Physical and Sand Testing Lab

 Ensure that designated tests against each Heat is performed and their test reports /records

are being properly maintained

 To ensure that each non-conformity is brought into the notice of Production Manager and

fettling Supervisor

 Ensure that all tools and equipments are yielding accurate and precise test results

 To cater in time repair, maintenance and calibration of lab equipments

 To raise request for the training of the working staff in their field of working .

 To raise in time requisitions for the purchase of spares , accessories and consumables.

 To maintain test records and bring continual improvement in acquired ISO 9001/2015

Management System.

 In Ravi Sphero Cast , we have two induction furnaces each having 5 ton production capacity per

day.

In addition to the above Ravi Sphero Cast is also equipped with two Cupolas( Melting) furnaces each

having a melting capacity 3 tons per day. It is to be mentioned here that our area of specialization is

SG Iron and Grey Iron Production .The list/name of the auto parts produced at RSC is attached

herewith as Annex 1.

Quality Control Procedure In RSC

As already mentioned RSC is a jobbing foundry, where auto parts are primarily

produced/cast by SG Iron or Grey iron. Segregated unit Scrap, pig, and Sorel is used as a raw material.

Grey Iron Casting of different grades are produced by alloying Unit scrap with pig iron,

Whereas

Spheroridal Graphite Iron is produced by alloying unit scrap melt with silicon and finally applying ladle

treatment to add Magnesium or Caesium to achieve the desired nodule count, microstructure, tensile

strength , elongation and hardness values.
