Safety

Wake Technical
Community College
- 17-20 minutes away from my house
- 19:1 Student Faculty Ratio
- The Northern Wake Campus is easy to navigate, modern, and close to home. I would not participate
much in the student life at WTCC if I was there
- No admission requirements
- $2,768 in-state tuition
- 100% acceptance
- WTCC is a safety school because, if need be, I will get in regardless of anything else.
Good Fit

Appalachian State
University
- 3-4 hours away from my house
- 16:1 Student Faculty Ratio
- ASU has a lot of fun, engaging activities for students to participate in. There is lots of good food and unique
organizations that students can join
- GPA: 3.94-4.48; SAT: 1120-1290; ACT: 23-28
- $7,710 in-state tuition
- 70% acceptance
- ASU is a good fit school because I could get in based on my GPA and SAT scores.
Reach

UNC Chapel Hill

- 30-50 minutes away from my house
- 13:1 Student Faculty Ratio
- UNC Chapel Hill has a fairly large student body so there are lots of social opportunities to meet people and
engage with the school
- GPA: 3.75-4.7; SAT: 1270-1480; ACT: 28-33
- $8,834 in-state tuition
- 26.9% acceptance
- UNC Chapel Hill is a reach school because I could get in but I would not be in the higher percentage of
applicants and my acceptance wouldn’t be guaranteed.
