“Those who feel the call to teach, who sense teaching is a profoundly
meaningful past of their life, have a passion for teaching” (Garrison, Liston, 2004,
p.1). It was never been my dream to be Teacher. During my school years,
Information Technology is the most demand courses. Finding easily for a job drives
me to take that course so that I could help myself to live a better life. I was
separated with my real parents at an early age because having a big family of 12
my parents could not afford to give our daily needs. I was adopted by my
classmate parent’s who runs a Christian church in Caloocan City. A product of
Children’s ministry of the church where teaching about God and how to be a good
person. I was involved in the church ministry when I grow old, while studying in
College my spare time was dedicated to teach children like I was before. This
drives me to learn more on strategies on how to teach students but never kept on
my mind to be an educator someday since my previous job was in the Information
Technology sector. While at work as Operations Manager in a Real Estate
company, I was given an opportunity to teach in college in Olongapo City. From
there, I was encouraged to take Professional Education units so that I could take
Licensure Examination for Teachers. Given a lucky moment I passed and leave
college teaching to take opportunity at the Department of Education. Luckily
became one of the pioneer teacher of New Cabalan Senior High School in Olongapo
City. The experience from College teaching to Secondary is different, the need of
extra careful in handling them because of different complaints and issues with the
parents but because I was trained in the church ministry it is become easy for me
to handle that makes the school designated me as Guidance Counselor. A lot of
experiences in handling different character and attitudes but was able to do my
counselling job. I was also designated as Registrar of the school since my exposure
to students. Many task, a lot of responsibility but never forget to fulfill my sworn
responsibility as a Public School Teacher – To Teach. Now it is my passion. I never
missed a day that I never wanted to see my advisory class. Since 2016 of the
implementation of the Senior High School I never had absences. I keep my passion
in teaching making different activities and program for the school that benefited
administrators, teachers, students and parents. A program that enables to
accomplished the vision and goals of the Department of Education for K to 12
programs “Trabaho, Negosyo, Kolehiyo and Middle Level Skills”. Handling Work
Immersion Programs and Job Fairs, Entrepreneurship, Career Guidance and
TESDA accreditation project to assist the students of the Schools Division Office
of Olongapo City. This drives me to help not only my students but also teachers
and administrators. I was given opportunity to share all my projects and become
one of the best practices in the division. Now, I do organize seminars, trainings
and workshop for Teachers both in Public and Private with the help of the Digital
Rise Program of DepEd – The Open Educational Resources program where I was
one of the National Core Leader and Facilitator and become also the Microsoft
Education Ambassador of Microsoft. Teaching never stops me, from Sunday School
ministry of the church to secular school to teach High Schools now also teaching
teachers both public and private and school administrators. From this exposure I
was also invited to speak from different seminars and trainings one of it is the
EduTECH Philippines. From this speakership I could share my expertise in
Information Technology to all teachers from around the world.

I see my future as a Passionate Educator. Not only for students but also
for the teachers in both public and private schools. I wanted all my students and
participants to remember me as an exceptional teacher and speaker from all the
shared knowledge and skills that I shared during my class sessions, seminars
and trainings. All the relevant experiences from the past that I also share to my
students that I believed they can treasure and remember so that they can look
into it as a model for their future.

I will keep on studying, because learning is new everyday. This will help
me achieved innovations on different aspects of learning.

I will make sure that no one will be left behind. If there is a need for a
remedial in classes for them to move forward to finished their school. I will make
a quality standard to guide them on their life skills.

I will focus on my goals and objectives and keep in mind that “no one is
perfect” and that sometimes we can commit mistakes that we need to accept to
change.
