Areuana is Filipino folk dance originated in the Visayas.

Different versions of the dance exist such as the

one from Ilo-ilo and the other from Negros Occidental.

COUNT: One, two or one, and, two, and to measure.

FORMATION: Any number of couples in lines about four feet

apart, with the Girl on the right side of Boy

when facing the audience.

(cts. 1, 2) and move two steps (R, L) backward, away from

each other (cts. 1, 2). Arms at the sides swinging

cross L foot in front of R and turn to right at the time
