How to access the Mentor IC Flow 2008.2o ?

1. Create a work directory


$mkdir ~/mentor_designs (If not created already!)

2. Access to Systems

Option-1: Local Access (From RHEL5.x Workstation):


Open a Command Window. Go to STEPS and run commands

Option-2: Remote Access:


(a) From Linux (or) MobaXterm:
$ssh -X -l login-name server-name
Go to STEPS and run commands

(b) From Microsoft Windows:


From Start > Programs > Exceed > Exceed
From Start > SSH Client > Connect > server-name
Go to STEPS and run commands

Valid Server Names:


1. mentor.vlsi.iitk.ac.in (for Thesis Users)
2. vs5.vlsi.iitk.ac.in (for ee610, ee618, ee619 Course Users)

3. Access to Tools
STEPS:

1. Change to work directory before running commands:


$cd ~/mentor_designs

2. Do any of the following steps after sourcing the script in C Shell:


$csh
$source /cad/Mentor_tools/ICFlow/2008.csh

1. ICFlow
$mgcdocs (Read Manuals)

$da_ic (Design Architect IC GUI)


$dve_ic (Design ViewPoint Editor IC GUI)
$dss_ic (DSS IC GUI)
$ic (IC Station GUI)
$icbasic (IC Station-Basic GUI)
$icstudio (IC Studio GUI)
$sg_ic (Schematic Editor IC GUI)
$adk_daic (Design Architect IC GUI with ADK library)
$adk_ic (IC Station GUI with ADk library)

Note:
You can edit the script by copying to your home directory and source it as follows:
$source ~/icflow2008.csh
