1. Business Requirements

1.1 Background and Customer Needs

PromotePoker.com currently, is not being actively promoted and is receiving very few hits. During design and
development, attention must be focused on driving traffic and keeping the visitor engaged. A visually appealing,
clear, concise, & highly focused website, that is multi-browser compatible needs to be created for
PromotePoker.com.

The primary purpose of the PromtePoker.com website is to have visitors do the following:
1. Sign up for an online poker account through one of the PromotePoker.com links
2. Sign up to become a sub-affiliate of PromotePoker.com and make money promoting poker sites
3. Have affiliates Register their contact information for further opt-in email campaigns.
1.2 Business Objective and Success Criteria (OBJ)

OBJ-1: Create a highly focused and communicative website.

OBJ-3: Create a website that is W3CSS and W3C XHTML compliant
OBJ-4: Create a User and Administrator friendly Content Management System

1.3 Business Risk (BR)

BR-1: Time constraints may force work to be done ahead of schedule

BR-2: Rollouts may be delayed due to requirements being added during or post development (Feature
Creep). The “Requirements Document” should limit the potential for Feature Creep.
BR-3: Additional cost may slow down the progress of the project. There are no projected additional costs
at this time.
BR-4: Late deliverables by development team
BR-5: Not all content will be made available before development begins

1.4 Assumptions (AS)

AS-1: Textual and some graphical content will be provided by Customer

AS-2: Server will support all the needs and wants of the design and development team
AS-3: Timelines are reasonably set
AS-4: Design and Development team will fully understand the Customer’s needs and wants.
AS-5: Plug-In Components will be available for the development team

1.5 Dependencies (DE)

DE-1: Access to the Customer’s account on the hosting server

DE-2: Customer will be available for follow-up questioning and requirements gathering
DE-3: Customer will sign-off on all Requirement documentations

2. Scope Limitations

2.1 Cost Analysis (CA)

CA-1: The total cost of the project will be $4,700

CA-2: Half the cost ($2,350) of the project will be due before the project starts
CA-3: The rest is to be paid out as the releases are made
