RETROSPECT
In so far as now, making Bulletin Boards in every department has always been a
remarkable thing in the University and for the Civil Engineering students that provides
with an opportunity to give more intent look at bulletin board displays and determine the
effectiveness of these displays in delivering in purpose and message and to recognize
creativity that reflects educational theme related to a content area.

The Dean of the Office of Student Services and Affairs together with the Sec
President and its members visited every department in the University to evaluate the
works of the organization of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineering Students
(PICES) using a set of criteria for quality and principles in designing an effective bulletin
board display on August 02, 2019 at the University of La Salette. Interacting with the
bulletin boards after creation is important to reinforce learning, the aim of this activity is
to keep student attention focused on the board and to deliver messages coming from
the Officers of PICE-ULS SC.

The evaluation of bulletin boards in the different departments started at 9:00 am.
We the officers of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineering Studens (PICES-ULS SC)
are getting ready for the evaluation and questions of the judges regarding to our Bulletin
Board. At exactly 10:30 am they started to evaluate our bulletin. Mrs. Marjorie S.
Magbitang, MPA, Dean of the Office of Student Services and Affairs who is one of the
judges who asked questions about our bulletin and Mr. George Miguel Liwag Sillos,
Vice Chairman External answers her question confidently. While waiting for the
announcements of the winners, the dean of Student Services and Affairs and Sec
President and its members came into us and give the certificate of being the 2 nd Placer
during the Best Bulletin Board Design Competition- Sub Organization. The PICES
officers are thankful because of the hardships, cooperation and effort that we exert, we
are so proud most especially Ms. Janeth Menor Jacinto our Chairman, without her
encouragement and being a good leader to her members our work will not become
successful.
PROSPECT:

There are many bulletin boards displays in the different departments with a
different sub- organizations. Based on observation the message of the bulletin board is
about their list in different activities and also provide special announcements. We have
also different materials used and concepts. As a whole it was a creative activity of the
students at the University of La Salette to showcase their ideas on how they will
determine the effectiveness of this activity.
