Subject: Internship during 4th year of study

Dear Parent / Student,

Greetings from McGAN'S.

Kindly refer to our email communication dated 6th & 18th April 2018. As already communicated, your ward
has to undergo internship for a period of one year during the academic year 2018-19. We have already
communicated the details about the internship, which are reproduced below:

a) The student has to undergo practical training in an architectural office in India only
under Architects registered with the Council of Architecture, India with a minimum 5
years professional standing. The architect should be on the active roll of the Council of
Architecture. The architect should provide his CoA registration Number and validity
period.

b) The student is permitted to undergo practical training in architectural offices of other

countries also for one semester only. In such a case, the principal architect should have
registered with the concerned local architectural registration body of that country.

c) The attendance of the student should be submitted on a monthly basis and should be
addressed to the Internship Coordinator before 7th of every month. Non-receipt of
attendance before 7th of every month will lead to marking absent for the previous month
and this may affect the student's eligibility for appearing in the University
examinations. The responsibility of submitting attendance certificate from the firm rests
with the student and the institution will not be responsible for non-receipt / non-
submission of attendance certificates.

d) Every student should obtain a bonafide certificate to undergo interview with the
architectural firm. Without bonafide certificate if the student appears in any interview it
will not be valid.

e) After selection by the architectural firm, the student should submit the letter of
his/her selection / appointment with the firm to the college. The letter should be
on the letterhead of the architectural firm / architect with full address, telephone
number, COA Registration Number and duly signed by the Principal architect. On
receipt of the appointment letter from the firm, college will issue a permission
letter (bonafide letter) to undergo internship for a period of one semester / two
semesters.

While most of the students have complied with the above, it is understood that a
few students, knowingly or unknowingly have joined internship programme
without obtaining the authorization from the college. The internship of student
will not be recognized if any student join without authorization letter from the
college.
