NARRATIVE REPORT
SEARCH FOR MR. AND MISS UNITED NATION
“2019 International Year of Indigenous Languages”

United Nations Day is devoted to making known to people of the world the aims and
achievements of the United Nations Organization. United Nations Day is part of United Nations Week,
which runs from October but apparently our celebration was postponed due to typhoon and conflict to
other activities.

U.N. Day has traditionally been marked throughout the world with Pageant, Poster, Alive
Museum, Dance of the world and quiz bee about the achievements and goals of the organization. The
search for Mr. and Miss United Nation started on the month of October all grade level has a participant
by picking up their countries to be represented. The search will be having an elimination and only
twenty pairs won after that a talent competition that have a special award to be given in culminating
program that was also a closing program of United Nation on November 13, 2019. All the representing
countries proudly wear their national costume and the production number.

The special awards, Minor and Major awards goes to the following:
Best in talent goes to : Miss S. Africa Rhealyn Untalan and Mr. Spain Mark Aim Dela Cruz
Best in Production Number goes to Ms. Holand Jonica Mae Capulong and Mr. Venezuela John Lester
Reyes
Best in costume:Ms. USA Claudine Perez and Mr. Spain Mark Aim Dela Cruz
First runner-up Mr. Nigeria Luisito Talplacido and Ms Spain Joan Beley
Second runner- up Mr. Mr. Venezuela John Lester Reyes and Ms. Australia Erica Ararangol
Third runner- up Mr. Mr. Brazil Denrich Dan Adriano and Ms. Venezuela Diane Dela Cruz
Fourth runner up Mr. Philippines Jhon Lorenz Rojero and Ms. China Razel Keith Loquinto
The Mr. United Nation goes to USA Nasser Ephraine Aviala and Miss United Nation Thailand Graziel

In the Philippines, local schoolchildren customarily dress in the national costumes of member
states and hold a programe on U.N. Day, which is the last school day before semestral break. Individual
students, classes, or grade levels are assigned a country to represent and study; students handcraft
their assigned country's flag, and prepare cultural presentations and food as part of the day's
educational activities.
