ABSTRACT

The aim of this study is to assess the level of knowledge of Senior High School

students in providing first aid care. First aid knowledge and skills of students is intended,

among other educational aims, to increase the saliency of injury outcomes and

consequently reduce injuries by using own skills on training and discussion about

experiences. There are two research questions for our study under the statement of the

problem, which is related to the socio-demographic profile and perception of the

respondents. The results and findings of the study were measured by the variables

provided in the research instruments of the study. The respondents in the study were the

selected grade 11 students of Malayan Colleges Mindanao. The results of the study may

potentially have protective benefits for adolescents. The primary beneficiaries for the

study are students, institution, school staff, and for the future researchers that may

support that first aid skills can help students reduce the likelihood of sudden events.
